Missional Community News
Nat Kadri has pulled together a news round-up from across all our Missional Communities. Some great things are happening for which we want to thank God. And there are some big challenges ahead of us for which we continue to trust him and seek his help.
Click here to download a copy of the newsletter, or pick it up from the information table on Sunday.
If you haven’t yet found a Missional Community to join then get in touch with me and I'll help you find somewhere to belong and where you can play your part.

The Father's Promise
"God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear" Acts 2:32-33
We are living in the age of the outpoured Spirit - the gift promised by the Father, first through his prophets and then confirmed by his Son. The risen and exalted Lord Jesus Christ now pours out his Holy Spirit for every thirsty, believing heart to receive, so that streams of living water flow from within us. The Spirit tells us deep within that we are children of God, loved and totally accepted. He gives us his supernatural gifts so that young and old can prophecy. He clothes us with power so that we can be effective witnesses here and to the ends of the earth.

Missional Communities
We believe that church life is about being gathered together for worship, for teaching and to pool our resources in order to make a big impact. But we also believe that we need to be scattered back into the world where we live in order to be salt and light to those who don't know Jesus. This is our mission - to make the invisible God visible to a world in need of hope and rescue.
So in the last year we have reshaped the church so that everyone can belong to a Missional Community. These are mid-sized groups (upto 50 people) who build strong relationships together and share a common vision for making Jesus known. We currently have 13 Missional Communities - some geographical, others focused on different generations.
Within each MC there will between two and four cell groups (or just one cell for a few). Cell groups meet fortnightly allowing time on the other weeks for the MC to gather as a whole or to be involved in outreach.
To read about why we started Missional Communities, or what they are, then download a copy of “Missional Communities – What are they?” here. Things keep changing so it's a little out of date but will give you the story of the last year or so.
If you haven’t yet found a Missional Community to join then get in touch with me and I'll help you find somewhere to belong and where you can play your part.
